If you’ve ever seen a logo and wanted to know the font What the Font is here to save your day. It’s not something that happens often but occasionally you’ll see one and want to use the same styling and it’s a pain to find. With What the Font It’s a simple 3 step process.

  1. Upload (From Disk or URL) an image containing the font you wish to identify.
  2. What the Font will identify the letters in the image and attempt to guess what letters they are.
  3. If any are incorrect (or in some cases not a letter) you simply need correct them and click Search.

That’s it!

You’ll get a list of matching fonts which you can click on to get more details including:

  • Font Samples (at many sizes)
  • Character Mini-Map
  • List of Available Versions
  • Option to Buy (in some cases)

Wii Have Extra Jackets

In true American Consumer form when I heard Nintendo was offering up to 4 free Wii Remote Jackets if you already owned a Wii I ordered 4. The problem is, we only have 2 Wii Remotes. The extra 2 Jackets are completely useless to me. If you have a use form them or know someone who does please let us know and we’d be happy to give them to you. Or if you haven’t ordered yours yet please take ours as we would rather not just throw them out.

UPDATE: The jackets have found a lovely new home.  Thanks everyone!

My First Flickr Meetup

Saturday I participated in my first Flickr meet up. It was a lot of fun. Myself and a group of 12 or so other photography hobbyists met up at Dinosaur BBQ in Downtown Rochester for a hearty lunch. Then we were off to explore the Abandoned Subway. If you don’t know anything about the subway I suggest checking out the RocWiki Page and reading up a bit. It’s actually quite interesting and may become a part of downtown Rochester again soon.

The slideshow below showcases all the photos the participants have shared. These are not only my photographs, they are the photographs taken by all participants of the event.

NOTE: If you cannot see the above slideshow please view the original post or view the slideshow directly.

Studio Fan Mail

If you want an autographed photo of a celebrity just use Studio Fan Mail. The Signatures you get aren’t really authentic. Studio Fan Mail is just a company hired by celebrities to handle all their fan mail and send autopen signatures when requested.

About 2 years ago I got a random e-mail from the ‘Jessica Biel Fan Club’ saying if I wanted an autograph to just reply with my address. Since there wasn’t much to risk I figured what the heck. The signature below is the result, and was my introduction to Studio Fan Mail. As it turns out if you want a signature all you need to do is email the celebrity at <celebrity name>@studiofanmail.com and put your address. There is a whole list of available celebrities here.

If anyone wants my hard copy just let me know. This digital archive is good enough for me.

Fairport Sunrise

I’m not up early often. Today I was, so after dropping Rachel off at the airport at 4:30am I decided to explore a nearby Fairport park to see if I could find a scenic spot to watch the sunrise.

I haven’t been able to figure out what the name of the park is, and it’s not really advertised as a park at all. There’s just a small stone parking lot and an old worn out sign that no longer has anything on it.

The scenery there is quite beautiful though, and it’s probably one of the best places to watch the sunrise in Fairport NY.
