From Blood to Wine

Red WineToday I lived up to my reputation as pure klutz. As some of you know Wegmans is in the progress of decorating for the holiday season (yes christmas already). In order to decorate my area I needed to use a staple gun, however the only one I found was out of staples. I retrieved the staples and proceeded to put them in the gun. However; while splitting a row of staples in half my hand slipped and the staples caught the knuckle of my index finger. The cut was deep and I made an absolute mess of the kraft room (sorry Becky). A numbed finger and 3 stitches later I was on my way home to nurse the wound.

Randy was feeling guilty because he wasn’t there to save me from the staple gun so we went out to eat with his mother and Kay, a friend from work. We went to the cheesecake factory where I enjoyed a nice glass of wine(easing my pain) with my thai chicken and keylime cheescake. While it was my 3rd trip to the cheescake factory it was Randy’s first and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience along with his pasta DaVinci and upside down pineapple cheescake.

Thank you Everyone!

One and a half years of planning, four months of frenzy, a one day celebration and 2 weeks of relaxation… We did it!

Life as a married couple has been good to us so far. We’d just like to say a final thanks to everyone who made our wedding the most beautiful and blissful day a couple could wish for. Not to mention all the fun we had! We couldn’t ask for a better start to a long happy life together.

Special thanks go out to:

The Parents, without your love and support we wouldn’t have been able to do it at all

The Bridal Party Consisting of:

Claire Masten for her touching reading from 1st Corinthians

Elizabeth Fino-Radin from The Starry Strings Quartet for the beautiful violin

Annette Dragon for all the beautiful photography

Whirlin’ Disc DJ for getting everyone on the dance floor

Mike from The Burgundy Basin for making sure everything went smoothly

Phaedra Andalora from Liberty Travel for putting together our Honeymoon

5 months 4 days and counting

Long engagements are lots of fun. Referring to your man as “My fiancé this and my fiancé that”. Relax; take your time to plan out all those little details. I mean I’ve got a whole year to plan anyways, right? WRONG!

My biggest realization this New Years was “Holy shit I’m getting married in 5 months!” Don’t get me wrong I’m supper excited but 5 months! I mean we do have most of the important stuff done…sort of. I don’t have the jitters about getting married in that there is no doubt, but the planning stuff not so much. I’m definitely not the bridezilla type who has to have everything perfect, jotted down in her little notebook ready to strike fear in the hearts of anyone who mistakenly uses butter cream frosting on her wedding cake instead of whipped. I know how I want things to go down; I’m just not in the planning mood yet. Running around and calling this person and that, where did you put Aunt Millies mailing address, that sort of thing, not my cup of tea. Do you think there are wedding planners who work pro bono?

Happy New Year
